5 hours of sleep.

I have got to stop it with the insomnia. My brain goes 200 miles per hour and I can't seem to rest at night. I have so much I want to accomplish and just not enough hours in the day.... so I try to create more hours.... which leaves me exhausted about 70% of the time.

.... which is also why, other than Zach..... Mountain Dew & Maxwell House are my best friends.

Anyway. one of my grand ideas a couple of weeks ago was to rejuvenate our bib drawer. our bibs are (were) really old, ratty, and stained. After 2 years of Carter spitting & spewing on them... and then Clover starting to use them too.... they've had their fair share of use and it showed. I was tired of being a little grossed out by old ugly bibs everytime I opened that drawer and who wants to spend money on bibs of all things?

not this mama.

So. I thought I would make some in all of my free time. Because you know I am running on an abundance of free time lately (this is sarcasm incase you hadn't already assumed).

It only took me a few days of finding minutes here & there.... and I think Zach grew a little tired of moving the sewing machine from our kitchen table everytime we sat down to eat.... but I did make some new bibs.
This was my first attempt at "pebble quilting"... or at least I think this is what it's called. Nevermind the name though... it's not perfect but it worked out somehow. My machine & I worked it out. Well.... mostly the machine. I just twirled the fabric around in circles.
I love how wrinkly crinkly they get after a wash & dry.... makes them look like they're soft & well-loved.
They are ready for their sweet potatoes. Hopefully they'll last through Clover's teething. She slobbers more than any baby I've ever seen.

Jamie those are such darling bibs! Is it going to break your heart when they're all stained? I loved all of your fabrics. And your top stitching looks so nice! Now you gotta get crackin' on your sweet sasha quilt since you have sooo much free time ;-)
